it's just as described it's really cute I like it a whole lot the face of its metal and has a little cover that comes with it but I'm assuming is heat proof because it's on an iron lol . I haven't tried it out but it come with a little cup to pour in the water hole for them steam. I really like it the cord could be just a bit longer but other than that I love it it will do just fine! i haven't tried it but it doesn't feel cheap and the face plate is nice and heavy like a good iron should have. if it doesn't do well I will add a additional review.
